Both explore the model of the golden boy, a popular and successful youth whose weakness is overlooked. As he approaches adulthood, he must perform a ritual as ancient as the ephebe; leaving home, unable to return until he accomplishes his exploit: consciousness.
PERFUMER
Perfumer Will Inrig is an artist and craftsman. Versed in traditional techniques, he strives to redefine perfumery via complex subjects, emotions and moods. His method resembles portraiture, a depiction of the subject’s essence. The result is pure poetry, fashioned from the world’s finest raw materials.
HANDMADE
Amid cries of ‘handmade’ perfumes, Inrig’s creations are unequivocally that. Each raw material is scrupulously selected by the perfumer. His fragrances are manufactured by hand in accordance to his formula. The perfume is then left to maturate and macerate for a total of two months, ensuring optimum stability. Every individual order is filled, packaged and numbered by hand. Small variations from bottle to bottle are a testament to their uniqueness.
BOTTLES
Each ceramic bottle in this limited-edition series is handcrafted by Japanese ceramist Yasuhiro Cúze of Studio Cúze. The unique, noble form recalls the majesty of ancient chessmen. For chess, like the fragrances, involves no hidden information; a game of strategy, pieces attack, yet do so in support of one another.
